Storm & Outage Center

To report a power outage, please contact our Outage Hotline at (800) 533-8658.

Within our service territory we can experience a variety of weather catastrophes and other major events that affect power delivery across our entire service territory. These events can result in extended power outages. When outages do occur, we respond immediately and work as quickly as possible to restore your service.

If you lose power, please check to see if the power loss is due to a problem within your home or business by checking for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. You can help your family and your home prepare for these outages before they occur. The information provided can help you prepare a plan for an extended outage.

In Home Life Support
Members who depend on in-home life support equipment should notify us immediately. We maintain records of members who use electrically operated life support machines, but you must inform our office of your situation. Because no electric company can guarantee uninterrupted electric service, we strongly recommend having a back up power source and an emergency plan for extended outages.

If you have any questions, please contact Firelands at (800) 533-8658 or operations@firelandsec.com. We apologize for any inconvenience power outages may cause for our members. Firelands Electric, A Touchstone Energy Partner, is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative providing electric service to approximately 9,000 homes and businesses in rural areas of Ashland, Huron, Lorain and Richland counties.
