USO_donations_20232025 USO OHIO STEP UP FOR SOLDIERS ANNUAL DRIVE

Firelands Electric is proud to once again be joining forces with local radio stations WLKR-FM and K96-FM to support USO Ohio’s Step Up for Soldiers annual drive.

Beginning, Nov. 11 and running through Dec. 19, members of Firelands Electric and the community can deliver care package items to the co-op office, located at 103 Industrial Drive in New London. Items may be dropped off in the collection boxes located inside the front lobby during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

 

SUGGESTED DONATION ITEMS INCLUDE:

(Note: While all donations are appreciated, USO Ohio does ask that items be limited to travel-sized hygiene items and individual, single-serve-sized snacks.)

Travel-sized hygiene products and other items:

  • razors/shaving cream
  • cotton swabs
  • tissues
  • deodorant
  • toothpaste/toothbrushes/floss
  • feminine hygiene products
  • travel size bar soap/body wash/shampoo
  • eye drops
  • ear plugs
  • hand sanitizer
  • detergent pods
  • sunscreen
  • cough drops
  • zip lock bags (quart)
  • playing cards
  • puzzle books

Food items (single-serving-sized recommended):

  • chewing gum/hard candy
