Children of Members Scholarships - 2025 APPLICATIONS WILL OPEN BY DECEMBER 1, 2024!
Firelands Electric Cooperative awards $10,500 in scholarships each year to outstanding high school seniors who reside in a home served by the co-op. The young man or woman chosen as Firelands' top overall applicant is also eligible to compete for additional scholarships, worth up to $4,300, at the statewide contest sponsored by Ohio's Electric Cooperatives. Louise Freeland Scholarship
Four $3,000 scholarships and four $1,200 scholarships are available to children of employees and trustees who are graduating high school seniors and are not eligible for other scholarships offered by the cooperative. Scholarships are awarded annually, following an interview of the finalists in Columbus. The scholarship is named after long-time cooperative employee Louise Freeland, who retired in 1990. Ohio Line Supervisors Association Scholarship
Three scholarships, in the amounts of $2,000, $1,500, and $1,000, are available to children of employees who have graduated high school but have not yet attended college (courses taken during high school are permitted). Scholarships are awarded annually, following the interview of ten finalists in Columbus. Click here for more information.
