ELECTRIC METERS
Firelands Electric's Two-Way Automatic Communications System (TWACS) improves the accuracy and performance of the cooperative’s metering system with helpful real-time data. It uses the same power line carrier technology that Firelands has been using since 1999, which transmits all meter data through power lines, not by radio waves. The infrastructure is efficient and helps control future costs by allowing a variety of advanced applications, including outage management and “blink” monitoring. This metering system plays a major role in keeping reliable power flowing to your home. Click here for more information on your electric meter.

Electric bills are mailed to members on the first of each month. Payment is due by the 14th of the month, and a penalty applies for payments received after the due date.
